REQUIREMENTS:
•ABachelor Degree in Human Resource Development or Education or an NQF level 6 qualification in the related field with at least 3- 5 years’ experience in an Academic, Educational or Training environment of which 2-3 years’ must be at a supervisory/management level• Directly have been involved with issues of quality control, assurance and/or management in an academic/educational or training environment• Attention to details and impeccable editorial and proof-reading skills•Knowledge of different departmental legislations as well as be familiar with the relevant prescripts• Knowledge of Skills Development Act • Knowledge of various SETAs• Knowledge of Public Service Regulatory Framework •Be prepared to travel and work extended •Knowledge of statistical analysis and interpretation •Basic financial management and understanding ofPFMA • Honesty and Integrity • Program and project management skills • Change management • Critical thinking and decision making skills • Client orientation and customer focus • Problem solving and analysis •Business Reporting Writing • Influencing and networking •Planning and organisational skills • Interpersonal skills • Computer Literacy • Policy analysis and improvement • A valid Driver’s Licence
DUTIES: The successful candidate will be responsible for, amongst, the following specific tasks:
• Develop, implement and review quality assurance systems, processes and procedures to ensure continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of quality assurance strategies, systems and activities in the delivery of learning programmes in the Academy and the Department • Plan, implement, manage and monitor quality management system for the different learning programmes, learning delivery, assessment, moderation and achievements of learners to assess the quality and impact of programmes delivered in the Department and to other stakeholders • Manage learner feedback on the quality training programmes, training material and individual trainers as part of their on-going professional development • Design, set quality standards and controls for learning programmes and monitor against agreed targets • Ensure compliance with quality standards policies, systems, procedures and/or specification • Facilitate the development of quality standards and provision of learning interventions of the various department stakeholders within public and private sector to ensure continuous development and delivery of approved learning programmes • Monitor, maintain, review and update the learner management system in line with SAQA and ETQA requirements for proper recording, storage, loading and recognition of achievements of learners against NQF registered qualifications and unit standard • Maintain communication with current students and alumni to establish both the impact of training and other needs • Manage, evaluate change and quality improvement in programmes and services for the professional development of trainers • Liaise with Programme Manager, trainers and other stakeholders to establish quality and standards required for training programmes and materials • Ensure the quality and standard of learning documents such as assessment tools, brochures and reports • Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process • Ensure quality assurance of submissions and presentation in the business unit • Development and review policies, procedures and Service Level Agreements • Edit and proof read training material, examination scripts, submissions and brochures to maintain high quality standards • Implement written policies, standards, and guidelines • Manage Resources ( Human, Financial and Physical ) within the unit • Report on the performance of the unit against the operational plan, business requirements and targets
