Pretoria - Minister of Home Affairs, Naledi Pandor has given authorization for extension of hours and deployment of more Immigration officers to a number of ports of entry between RSA and Botswana to assist in the facilitation of movement of  Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane and multitudes of Zion Christian Church (ZCC) members who will be travelling to Gaborone, Botswana from today Friday 22-24 November 2013

Accordingly and line with Minister Pandor’s directives the following ports of entry will be operating for 24 hours with extra personnel from today Friday 22 November –Sunday 24 November 2013 to facilitate the movement of church members to Gaborone:

  1. Kopfontein
  2. Derdpoort
  3. Swartkopfontein
  4. Ramatlabama
  5. Skilpadhek

Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane and ZCC members are expected to hold a mass church prayer meeting on Sunday 24 November which will be preceded by other church activities on Saturday 23 November 2013 in Gaborone. Last year, 2012, the Home Affairs department facilitated movement of the same church members for a service held in Zimbabwe.
