Home Affairs is proud to announce the launch of new DHA service centres abroad aimed at providing services to South Africans living abroad.

These centres are an interim measure to bring relief to South Africans around the world while we develop the digital solutions to deliver Home Affairs @ home.

The service centres will initially offer passport applications and renewals, as well as birth certificate applications.

Please note that children aged 16 and above (including those aged 15 but turning 16 in the relevant year) are not yet eligible for their Passport applications to be processed at these Service Centres, as they must first obtain an Identity Document before being eligible for a Passport. Additionally, South African citizens born abroad and whose birth has not yet been registered in the National Population Register, will not be able to receive services at the service centres.

Clients who fall into these two categories will still have to visit their nearest South African mission for assistance. You can find information on all missions here.
