The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, will brief the media on the Digitisation of Records project. The briefing will provide an update on the project and unpack the implementation approach, including the process for recruiting young people who will help in converting records of the SA population, from paper files to an electronic format.

The project for the digitization of civic services records was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa during the State of the Nation Address (SONA), on 10 February 2022.
