The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, will on Tuesday, 13 September 2016, announce his decision on the visit to South Africa by American Pastor, Steven Anderson.
On 05 September 2016, the representatives of the Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community handed over two petitions with more than 60 000 signatures to Minister Gigaba following a meeting to discuss the intended visit. Pastor Anderson has been accused of hate speech against the LGBTI community.
