Pretoria - The incoming Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma today, Monday 1 October 2012, had a luncheon with the African Heads of Mission and ambassadors at the Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria.
The meeting took place against the background of a series of consultations that the Chairperson has embarked upon, ahead of assumption of her official duties as Chairperson of AU Commission at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa on October 15th 2012.
Dr Dlamini Zuma shared some of her AU vision and key priority areas with the more than 40 high profile representatives of different Embassies in South Africa. The luncheon was hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Bene M'Poko, Dean of the the Diplomatic corps on behalf of Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since her election at the helm of the continental organisation, Dr Dlamini Dlamini Zuma has been consulting with a number of relevant stakeholders with interests in the affairs of the African Union, as part of preparations for her assumption of office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
