As part of the activities to mark the International Nelson Mandela Day on Friday, 18 July 2014, Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba will be at Sebyeng village near Mankweng, Limpopo at 9am, where he will offer his 67 minutes of community service at Mothapo Primary School.
This will be followed by the Minister’s Imbizo outreach programme, which starts at 10am, aimed at evaluating the public’s experience on Home Affairs services and products. He will hand over unabridged birth certificates to mothers of new born babies at Mankweng Provincial Hospital. Thereafter, Minister Gigaba will proceed to the imbizo with communities of Ga-Molepo, Ga-Mothapo and surrounding areas, where he will also hand over Smart IDs to pensioners and 16 year old youth to commemorate the International Nelson Mandela Day. Minister Gigaba is expected to be accompanied by Limpopo Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, MECs, the Capricon district and Polokwane local mayors as well as traditional leaders at the Imbizo.
