Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba will on Monday, 14 July 2014, officially launch the Visa and Permit Facilitation Centres in Johannesburg.                                       

The Department of Home Affairs has appointed Visa Facilitation Services (VFS) Global to facilitate the application, extension, renewal or change of visas and permits for non-South Africans.

Eleven centres have been established in all nine provinces across the country.

These efforts form part of the Department’s key objective of managing immigration securely and effectively. The new centres will contribute immensely in improving service delivery with their effective queue management system and capacity to handle online applications, among other benefits.
