Cape Town - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Fatima Chohan will tomorrow officially open a new Home Affairs office in Bredasdorp in the Western Cape as part of government’s efforts to bring services closer to the people.

Opening new offices across the country, particularly in the most rural and remote communities, helps the Department of Home Affairs to expand public services to the entire citizenry. In this regard, we have prioritised Bredasdorp which is largely a farming community.

In the past, the Department could only reach citizens in Bredasdorp through mobile offices. By opening the Bredasdorp office, the community will have daily access due to this excellent opportunity Home Affairs has availed.
