Home Affairs Minister, Naledi Pandor is due to travel to Stockholm in Sweden, this evening, 27 January 2014, for a bilateral meeting with her counterpart, the Swedish Minister for Migration and Asylum, Mr Tobias Billstrom.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 29 January 2014.
It will be for the second time the two Ministers meet to discuss issues of mutual interest between their respective countries, South Africa and Swedan.
The first meeting was held in Pretoria on 28 August 2013, in which the Minister Billstrom invited Minister Pandor to visit Swedan for further discussions as well as to share South Africa’s experiences in dealing with some of challenging areas of immigration.
Minister Pandor will also use the opportunity to visit and have discussions with Swedish Migration Board and other relevant entities.
Minister Pandor arrives back in South Africa on Thursday morning.
