The Minister of Home Affairs, Naledi Pandor, will this afternoon, 30 August 2013, at 12h00, deliver the keynote address at the South African Medical Association Trade Union’s first National Congress, scheduled to start today at Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.

The South African Medical Association is a medical professionals’ body and a trade union affiliated to the biggest trade union federation in South Africa, COSATU.

The two-day inaugural Congress will be attended by Medical Doctors and Specialists representing a large number of government employed doctors.

Its theme is “Quality public healthcare in our lifetime for the poor and the working class”
