The Department of Home Affairs, in partnership with the Robben Island Museum, will host the annual Valentine’s Day Mass Marriages in Cape Town on Thursday, 14 February 2019.
This year, Robben Island will be celebrating 20 years of being declared a World Heritage Site while Home Affairs will shine the spotlight on the three different kinds of marriage – Civil Union, Civil Marriage and Customary Marriage.
Home Affairs Minister, Dr Siyabonga Cwele will officiate over the handing over of marriage certificates to the newlyweds.
