As part of Women’s Month, the Minister of Home Affairs Prof. Hlengiwe Mkhize will on Saturday, 5 August deliver the key-note address at the Women of Character Summit held at the Sandton Convention Centre, Sandton, Johannesburg. The summit brings together women from all over the continent under the theme; Africa as the Next Economic Frontier: The Role of Women in Shaping Africa’s Destiny. The audience will be largely South African women, with some women from the SADC Region, East Africa Region,West Africa Region and some Diplomats.
“I see this as an important and strategic platform especially during August, when we commemorate and observe Women’s Month. We have to come together as women and tackle all issues affecting us in order to make an impact in society. There is strength in our collective efforts to move the country forward,” says Minister Mkhize.
The Global Business Roundtable (GBR) was established in 2009 and has members in more than 70 Countries around the world, including 38 in the African continent. It is aimed at developing its members holistically through the delivery of relevant programs. GBR focuses on intellectual development, spiritual, financial, business, leadership, mentorship and coaching and facilitates trade and investment opportunities for members across different nations. As a result, The GBR Women of Character Department was born to address critical issues facing women in different sectors of society.
