The Minister of Home Affairs, Prof. Hlengiwe Mkhize, will on Thursday, 13 July 2017, interact with Captains of Industry at the Home Affairs Premium Visa and Permit Centre in Sandton.

Located at the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency's Gauteng Investment Centre, the Premium Visa and Permit Centre aims to facilitate increased investment into South Africa through a partnership that involves the Visa Facilitation Services with a view to make it easy for corporate clients of the Department of Home Affairs to process their visa and permit applications.

As per international practice, the targeted clients include investors; managers and experts in particular occupations or academic fields; and their families.

Senior executives of multinational corporation, South African banks, international employees and students of universities, investors and business persons who meet certain pre-determined criteria set by the Department also form part of the clientele. Others include foreign health and medical professionals whose applications are recommended by the Department of Health and those applicants who are in South Africa as part of treaty agreements between South Africa and their countries.
